Join us December 16 1-3PM for a first-hand look at how Liz's forms begin as she demonstrates the "lost wax" carving technique used in her silver, bronze, gold and steel jewelry.

Leslie Banta: Keeping Nature's Beauty Close at Hand

Reception and Artist Demonstration
Sunday, October 14, 2018, 1 and 3 pm

Landscape painter Leslie Banta is the October Artist of the Month at the Barn Swallow! Leslie will be holding painting demonstrations at the Barn on Sunday October 14 at 1 pm and 3pm.

Leslie is more than a painter. Her works become sculptural. They pull in the written word where text becomes the sky. They are able to reach into our core as few painters can do. We are so pleased to introduce you to Leslie’s newest works.

Leslie describes her motivation in painting “as a way of keeping nature’s beauty close at hand.”

“It’s so easy to look up at the sky, but it’s also easy to forget what’s right over our heads because it’s always there. We forget to see it because we always see it… I paint to remind myself to stop and see this beautiful world, to drink it in for a long moment.”
